POSITION: APAC Marketing Director

COMPANY: A global data-driven, technology-enabled performance marketing agency
ROLE PURPOSE
The APAC Marketing Director will be responsible for developing and executing Company's APAC marketing strategy, with a strong focus on China, as well as the broader APAC region. In APAC, the Marketing Director will need to develop and launch the Company brand, and drive growth for Company in the form of lead generation and demand generation. The role will work closely with APAC leadership, and will report to the global CMO.
RESPENSIBILITIES

Responsible for the development and execution of Company's APAC Marketing Plan
- The development of the plan is done in consultation with the global CMO, Head of Marketing Americas/APAC, the President APAC and the APAC Chief Growth Officer

The objectives of the plan are consistent with the global plan
- 80% focus on lead generation
- 20% focus on reputation development of brand (though this percentage will be higher in initial phases of building the brand in the region)
- 80% focus on lead generation
- The plan will follow the global model: database driven, use of thought leadership as representation of the brand, engagement in social and press relations and use of events, 3rd party and owned
- The focus will initially be heavy on China (60%) with APAC (40%). This wil shift over time as we expand in the region.
- The development of the plan is done in consultation with the global CMO, Head of Marketing Americas/APAC, the President APAC and the APAC Chief Growth Officer
- Responsible for development and management of the APAC marketing budget, which is approved at the global level in consultation with APAC management

KPIs are likely to include:
- Development of an APAC database within the global Salesforce database instance
- New to database growth
- MQL generation and growth
- SQL generation and growth
- Stage0 opportunities/handoff to sales
- Pipeline generation (pipeline $, won $, FY revenue)
- Measure of thought leadership in market including mentions, exposure and engagement
- Awards management
- Growth of Company's social media presence
- Reputation building and management (inputs, SoV, PR, etc.)
- Development of an APAC database within the global Salesforce database instance
- The APAC Marketing Director will work close with the APAC Growth Officer as well as Client leader(s), as required. The role will be highly collaborative with the management of the APAC Leadership Team and by extension the APAC office leadership
- They will collaborate with the global marketing team, drawing in resource as appropriate/possible, and ensuring their plans are 'on brand' and market relevant
- Future marketing staff in APAC will report into the APAC Marketing Director
- The Marketing Director will hardline into the global CMO and dotted line into the President APAC
- The role is best suited to a collaborator and a self-started who is not intimidated or overwhelmed on building from the ground up
- This role requires strong presence and ability to get inputs from all areas of the business (SLT, client partners, delivery leads) to drive awards, original content and event presence and business results (pipeline)
EXPERIENCE:
- 8+ years experience in marketing, ideal 2+ years in marketing leadership, of a professional services firm, B2B, or ideally an agency
- Demonstrated experience as a collaborator, thought-leader, and ROI-driven marketer
- Ideally demonstrated understanding of People-based Marketing and it's enabling capabilities and applications, database marketing and performance media
- Experience leading integrated performance marketing engagements

Both a strategic and creative thinker, able to multi-task, who is rooted in
measurement/results/performance
- Track record of thought leadership or the ability to manage thought leadership as a fundamental of marketing
- Experience marketing in China (mandatory) and in the APAC region outside of China (preferred)
SKILLS:
- Bachelors degree in marketing, communication or advertising preferred
- Ability to work effectively with sales, market/regional/functional leaders to build consensus and lead and execute the marketing strategy
- Strong problem solving, strategic thinking and analytical skills
- Exceptional communications skills
- Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English (working language)
- Comfortable with Microsoft systems (Word, PPT, Exl, etc)
- Experience with Salesforce/Pardot a bonus
