POSITION: APAC Acquisitions Integration Program Manager (Director/Senior Director)

ROLE PURPOSE
Responsible for driving integration of acquired companies with a focus on post-close integration and operations activities within APAC. This is a complex role in that each acquisition is unique. Every acquired company has its own capabilities, skillsets, opportunities and risks, which must considered throughout the integration process (and beyond). Perceived cultural differences and communication must also be managed through effective change management.
RESPENSIBILITIES
- Pre-close integration:
- Work with Executive Sponsor to design an integration plan that focuses on the overall investment thesis
- Identify work stream team leads (i.e., functional leads) within both Company APAC and the acquired company
- Together with the Executive Sponsor, communicate integration principles and high-level plan to target company, work stream leaders, and Head office market leaders
- Work with the integration executive and functional leads to develop an integration plan that addresses due diligence findings, delivers the strategic value of the acquisition, and achieves revenue/cost synergies
- Identify and creatively solve complex, cross-functional operational issues, often unique to each deal
- Gain alignment between head office market leaders and APAC leader reference oversight and operating frameworks
- Develop internal/external communication and change management plans
- Post close integration:
- Initiate team collaboration sites and collection of standard integration management tools/templates that will be used to manage the integration to ensure consistency of process
- Work with stream leads to execute the integration plan
- Manage interdependencies across work streams
- Manage cross-functional relationships through transparency, effective communications, and a collaborative working style
- Capture and manage issues and risks associated with each acquisitions; escalate as necessary to ensure resolution
- Facilitate regular cadence with stream leads, Executive Sponsor, integration Steering Committee and the company APAC Executive Committee
- Generate regular status reports and deal scorecards with the integration team for executive level status reporting to the Steering Committee, APAC Executive Committee, and head office M&A Team
- Manage stakeholder communications to company executives, functional leads, and acquired company management
- Continuously capture lessons learned from the integration process and refine best practices; translate into due diligence methods and integration plan templates for future integrations
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- An experienced employee with strong organizational and program management skills along with strong c-suite presence
- 5+ years integration experience in post-merger integration roles and/or leading cross-functional business development projects (from preliminary strategy to running deal execution post-close)
- Operations knowledge across major business functional areas (i.e., finance, HR, IT, sales execution, marketing lead generation)
- Proactive program management and change management skills are critical
- Strong knowledge of business practices and ability to determine geographic differences for compliance purposes
- Ability to make decisions with team leads and to identify issues for escalation
- Ability to identify core issues quickly and put structure around ambiguity
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Strong ability to lead more through influence than authority, but comfort with both styles

- MBA, Project Management Certification and/or Consulting experience preferred
- Deep general business knowledge and acumen
- Ability and willingness to travel within APAC up to 30%
