Position: Infrastructure Architect

Summary:
Our Client operates more than 200 schools across China, Indonesia and Russia. They are expanding rapidly and constantly at the speed of setting up one new school per week.
They are looking for an Infrastructure Architect, who would work closely with school design, with the application development team, and with the IT Support team to provide technical solutions. These solutions must be evaluated, designed, tested and implemented to scale across large number of schools across different regions.
The infrastructure architect will identify challenges and opportunities where technology can be applied, research and design solutions and work with the rest of the organization to drive the implementation of these solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Drive infrastructure architecture projects through the full lifecycle starting with requirements analysis, through technical design, pilots and rollouts
- Identifying infrastructure challenges in projects under development as well as existing projects and provide solutions for solving them
- IT infrastructure end of School design and academic programs design
- Communicating solutions with the Support teams with documentation
- Be responsible for hardware product evaluations
- Resolving critical problems from an infrastructure perspective
- Work closely with the Global IT architecture team in London and Bangalore
- Work closely with IT Support teams in China, Russia and Indonesia
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree or above in computer science or related.
- Minimum 8-10 years+ work experience as IT Infrastructure specialist/ consultant with facilitating, requirement analysis, conceptual design and planning skills especially in medium or large size distributed enterprise environment, 3+ years of architect experience is needed

Technical skill including:
- Analysis, planning, designing and implementation of complex technology architecture encompassing servers, user computers, networks and storage solutions
- Experience with IT Support
- Analysis, planning, designing and implementation of complex technology architecture encompassing servers, user computers, networks and storage solutions
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Internet/ Software industry working experience is required
- Knowledge and experience in a Microsoft environment is required.
- Strong understanding and experience supporting LANs, WANs, WLANs in an environment with multiple small sites.
- Fairly wide breadth of experience which should include WiFi or Audio Visual equipment integration at network level.
- Experience of worked at both large and small/entrepreneurial organization is a plus.
- Standardization (scaling up of solutions for wide rollout)
- Speak and write fluently in English
