POSITION: IT-System Specialist

INTRODUCTION/OBJECTIVE:
- You are responsible for worldwide Support and Development of Client-/Backend- Systems and concepts in a complex, distributed Microsoft-/Citrix- client infrastructure with focus on Microsoft Client-/Server products and Citrix XenApp with additional Add-Ons.
- You support mission critical business processes for company Business Services (a 100% subsidiary of company Industries) IT Infrastructure (EBS-IS) and company Industries, affiliates, plants, and facilities in such a way as to meet the system requirements of performance, reliability, and project time constraints in the most cost effective manner. Provide the technical expertise to develop, modify, maintain and support such systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Planning, Installation, Operation, Support and troubleshooting of the eDesk –Client, infrastructure systems related to client management and Citrix / terminal server environments.
- Planning, Installation, Operation, Support and troubleshooting of terminal server systems offering ASP applications.
- Planning, coordination, assistance and documentation of eDesk-Client, Client management and rollout scenarios based on the current corporate standards.
- Run of IT-Projects with / for customers on-Site (Greater China Region)
- Projects may include those with technical requirements that have no precedents within the corporation.
- Manage the continual security, support and optimization of computer systems involved in the company wide use of such applications.
- Training, education and support of IT service units –external- regarding implementations of client management systems and related hard- and software products.
- Change/Configuration Management i.e. Release changes, Upgrades, Support regional Packages
- Problem - und Incident Management incl. Root-cause Analysis
- 2nd level support/troubleshooting –Greater China Region- for IT service units within client and terminal server environment.
- 2nd Level end user support.
- Regional Software preparation and repackaging for software distribution to clients and terminal servers.
- Test and evaluate new hard and software products inside the client and ASP environment.
- Develop and integrate tools for eDesk and ASP management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor Degree in IT
- Excellent English
- Knowledge and Skills in the following areas:
- X86/x64 Client- and Server- hardware including Peripherals
- Microsoft Windows 7(XP), Windows Server 2012 (2008R2), Citrix XenApp
- Microsoft System Center, MS SCCM, McAfee EPO
- Software packaging with Installshield (MSI), App-V
- Programming-Skills in Powershell, C# (MS Visual Studio)
- Microsoft Office Professional Suite
- A high degree of specialized technical knowledge is required in a broad range of sub-fields, often considered separate specialties, such as Operating Systems and security, with the ability to translate this knowledge into a persuasive presentation to the customer.
- The incumbent must have a thorough knowledge of theory, analysis and application of computers systems, servers, networks and emerging computer technologies.
- A general knowledge of MS applications is also essential, and the capability to evaluate new products quickly and in-depth.
- This position requires a self-directed, motivated and inquisitive individual, who is analytical and capable of "big picture" thinking. Ability to perceive the importance of solutions to the business, with an in-depth knowledge of corporate and technical standards and policies.
- Excellent customer focus and communication skills with the ability to understand, review, and ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLA's). Self-learning, intercultural teamwork, with strong conflict management skills will be significant keys to success.
- This position will be integrated into the CMS global organization. Work must be coordinated with other disciplines, and EBS-IS worldwide. Often involves finding creative technical solutions to various design problems.
