POSITION: SAP Basis Consultant

OBJECTIVE:
Install and upgrade, document, test and troubleshoot SAP systems using prescribed methods and standards. Design, develop, document and help implement all SAP systems backup and recovery strategies, keeping disaster recovery in mind. Recommend, design and develop systems monitoring strategies using monitoring tools. Use job scheduling, backup, and monitoring and event alerting tools for systems support. Maintain and modify existing systems to ensure that systems function efficiently and accurately to meet system requirements and customer needs. Plan and coordinate technical activities. Explore future technologies, methods and trends for strategic planning. Perform any other duties as required or requested.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- SAP System Installations, upgrades, support packs

Day to Day Basis Administrative Tasks such as
- System Monitoring, Problem Resolution, Corrective Action
- OSS notes, kernel upgrades
- OS and Database monitoring, tuning, and corrective action
- System maintenance
- Regular Backups
- System Monitoring, Problem Resolution, Corrective Action
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field required
- 3+ years of hands on experience with Basis Administration
- Skill and knowledge includes Installation, Upgrades, System copy, Apply patch, Kernel update, TMS admin, Authorization admin, Monitoring, Disaster recovery, SAP solution manager install/configuration and SAP Router install/configuration
- Thorough understanding of system operating environments and database management including Windows/Linux/Unix, Oracle/SQL Server/MaxDB etc.
- Experience in Sizing, Landscape design, performance tuning and SAP archive etc.
- ABAP experience will be a plus
- Candidates should have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Good customer service attitude
- Excellent English and Chinese language ability
