POSITION: Senior Research Manager - Manufacturing Insights

INTRODUCTION/OBJECTIVE:
To become an integral team member of COMPANY Manufacturing Insights AP. Taking responsibility for:
- Leading a research program (AP Manufacturing Strategies)
- AP Spending Guide
- Business Development
- Project lead for consulting project
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead MI Research Programs (40%)
Key Tasks: Specific report responsibility: management of the entire report from conception through to completion
Measure of Success: Responsibility for all reports – delivered on time and to a high standard

Lead consulting projects (35%)
Key Tasks: Lead consulting projects from identification, through project proposal, execution and delivery

Planning / Coordination / Execution of MI events (15%)
Key Tasks: Preparation of MI event calendar
Management of internal event process
Coordination with countries and event teams to ensure success
Measure of Success: Successful events. Profitable, well attended, though provoking content

Business Development (10%)
Key Tasks: Be the face of Mfg Insights when talking to prospective customers
Preparation of proposals.
Measure of Success: Number of new customers from specific sectors introduced within the FY
KEY CHALLENGES:
- Working under tight time pressure
- Ability to plan ahead and coordinate different groups / teams / countries
- Building a successful relationship with the sales teams across the region
- Being able to take decisions in the spirit of mfg insights
QUALIFICATIONS:
Essential Skills/Areas of Expertise
- In depth Knowledge of manufacturing systems / processes including supply chain, manufacturing operations, product development
- In depth Knowledge of some manufacturing verticals: automotive / aerospace / chemical / oil and gas / hi-tech / semiconductor
- Preferably worked in the manufacturing industry leading IT implementation / process improvement / change projects
