POSITION: Senior Technical Developer
LOCATION: Shanghai, China

INTRODUCTION/OBJECTIVE:
The company has an incredible new opportunity in the Shanghai office for a senior technical lead to help the company build the IT team. You would join a small 'start-up' team, and you will be part of the core squad that determines the company success. At the start you will be based in the Sydney office learning how the company does things around here. After 6-12 months of getting to know the company you will transfer to the Shanghai office. You'll be able to apply your experience managing projects and lead the day to day execution of work.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build and manage small teams (~ 7) of exceptionally talented and passionate technologists.
- You're all about ideas and have an eagle eye for detail and most of all
- Make mission-critical decisions
- Champion your ideas across the entire company.
- Pumping out good clean code
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Fluent in both Mandarin and English is a must
- 5+ years' experience in a role leading various IT teams, including both software and IT infrastructure
- A solid background in software engineering preferably in an agile environment
- C++, python are preferred but not essential
- Exceptional planning and organizational skills which will enable you to manage multiple concurrent projects across time zones
- Experience working directly with and managing vendors and partners
- Demonstrated ability to manage IT budgets (Capex and Opex)
- Knowledge and experience building innovative IT strategies and technical solutions
- Proven ability to build and develop high-performance IT teams through recruitment, coaching and mentoring
