Position Summary:
The analytical team is responsible for leading all analytic engagements within the company. The role is to design innovative analytic solutions to solve complex business problems. Through analytically derived insights, they often provide their clients with visibility into their business while systematically leading them towards improved business performance.
As part of the team, you will be engaged in a variety of analytic projects with different aspects of the customer lifecycle. To be successful in this role, you will need strong problem solving skills, ability to work independently in a fast‐paced entrepreneurial work environment, be comfortable dealing with ambiguity and change. Ability to handle multiple projects and collaborating with your co-workers is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and manage data using SAS, SQL or other languages (such as R) as required
- Implement analytical solutions using the following techniques: Predictive statistical modeling, Customer profiling, Segmentation Analysis, Survey Design and Analysis, Data Analysis and Mining, External Data Enhancement, and Econometric and financial analysis
- Evaluate and improve internal tools and processes
- Adapt statistical methods according to business problems
- Develop and test experimental designs, sampling techniques, and analytical methods
- Report results of statistical analyses, including information in the form of graphs, charts, and tables
- Conduct basic business analysis and reporting
- Perform ad hoc analysis of business situations, systems, issues and problems
- Develop computer‐generated statistical and financial models
- Analyze marketing channels and exploring new business opportunities
- Mentor new colleagues
Qualifications:
- MS/PhD degree from a top university in a quantitative discipline (e.g. Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Operations Research, Engineering, CS and etc.). BS degree candidates with strong experience will also be considered.
- Excellent written English ability
- Proficient in Oral English
- Experience in SAS Programming is strongly preferred
- Experience in Statistical Modeling is required
- Experience in using digital data/ web traffic data such as Omniture tool/data, multi-channel attribution model and media mix optimization is preferred, not required
- Experience in R&D work in technology based analytics product is preferred, not required
- Strong programming skills/ experience in R, .NET, Java and other popular languages is highly preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership abilities
- Experience in Marketing and Business are preferred, but not required
- Experience in SQL Programming are preferred, but not required
- Excellent work ethic and great team player
